This notice explains how SiSaf Ltd collects and uses personal information through bio-courier.com, including when you register your interest in a Bio-Courier® TL evaluation kit.

1. Who we are

SiSaf Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 05974331, with our registered office at 8 Frederick Sanger Rd, Guildford GU2 7YD, United Kingdom.

For any question about this notice or about your information, contact us at info@sisaf.com.

2. What we collect

  • When you register your interest: your first and last name, position, company or institution and email address; which evaluation kit interests you; anything you tell us about what you would like to test; and whether you have asked to receive news and launch updates.
  • When you email us: your contact details and what you tell us.
  • When you browse the site, if you accept analytics cookies: information about your device and browser, your IP address, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site and how you use it. If you then register, this browsing history may be linked to your registration. Our Cookie Notice explains this in full.
  • When you receive our emails: whether an email was delivered and opened, and which links were clicked.

Please do not include anything confidential, or any information about other people, in the free-text field on the registration form.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with any third party for their own purposes. We use service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:

  • HubSpot, which provides our registration form, our customer relationship management system and our email.
  • Shopify, which hosts this website.
  • Google, which provides Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies.

We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where the law requires us to — for example, with a regulator or a court.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States, Canada and the European Union. Where they do, your information is protected in one of two ways: the country is recognised by the UK as providing adequate protection — which includes US organisations certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework — or we use the UK's approved contract terms for international transfers. [CONFIRM: if SiSaf's HubSpot account is hosted in HubSpot's EU data centre, say so here.] You can ask us for more detail.

6. How long we keep it

  • Registration details: for as long as we need them to deal with your registration and any evaluation kit, then for [CONFIRM: 24 months] after our last contact with you, after which we delete them.
  • News and launch updates: until you unsubscribe. We then keep only your email address on a suppression list, so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
  • Browsing information: as set out in our Cookie Notice.
  • Records of requests and complaints: for as long as we need to show how we handled them.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct it, or to delete it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it;
  • object to our use of it — including an absolute right to object to direct marketing;
  • ask for information you gave us in a portable format; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To stop receiving news, use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. For anything else, email info@sisaf.com. We respond within one month, or tell you within that month if we need longer — up to two further months for complex requests, as the law allows.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first, by emailing info@sisaf.com with “Data protection complaint” in the subject line. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days, as the law requires, and respond without undue delay.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

9. Children

This site is intended for research professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this notice

We will update this notice if the way we use personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
